John W. Sharbrough is an attorney in Mobile, Alabama whose practice concentrates on consumer and commercial litigation. He has a solid background in complex commercial litigation and expertise in diverse areas of the law including, class actions, consumer fraud, antitrust, mass torts, lender liability, predatory lending and oil & gas.

John is committed to representing the interests of consumers, classes of consumers and small businesses in litigation against those who would take advantage of them.

Because of his complex litigation experience and reputation, John has been appointed several courts to serve in leadership positions including; Special Master in the Fletcher v. Brooke Group, a part of the national tobacco litigation, Liaison Counsel for Indirect Purchasers in the Vitamins Antitrust Litigation, MDL 1285 and Lead Counsel for Alabama Plaintiffs in Crude Oil Antitrust Litigation, MDL 1206. This federal court experience is particularly valuable at this time when federal courts are becoming the most common venue for consumer litigation.

Because of his litigation expertise, John’s representation has been sought by a number of large corporate clients including Hoeschst Celanese Corporation, Celanese Chemicals, Inc. and the Liggett Tobacco Company.

John attended The University of Alabama School Of Law where he finished in the top 20% of his class. In law school he served in a number of capacities including President of the Farrah Law Society, Vice-Chairperson of the Campbell Moot Court Board and Student Prosecutor for the SGA.

John, a former United States Marine, grew up in the small Mississippi Delta town of Belzoni. He is married and has two children.
